Looking for tires in 235/50-15 that will be livable in a daily driver but not completley horrible at an autocross event. Looking to keepy it under 175$ a tire. What would you guys recommend?

A quick search of that size from both our tire wholesaler and the Tire Rack turned up only one tire, the Toyo Proxes R888, which doesn't meet your criteria very well.
Sorry, not much help I know.
You might have to go to a 225/50/15 or a 245/50/15 to get more tire choices. Tire rack may have Yokohama S.Drives in the former size that would be good for you.
The only actual street tires anywhere near that size on Tirerack or DiscountTireDirect were:
225/45/15 BFG Rivals - maybe too small in every dimension? Definitely grippy enough for autocross though.
225/50/15 Kumho Ecsta AST - I guess closer in dimension, but 400 treadwear all-seasons don't sound like that much fun.
For a "daily driver" do you require all-season capabilities, or are summer-only acceptable? If the latter, I would probably look at the Yokohama S.Drive in 205/55-15. Sure it's a little narrower, but it's a decent rubber compound and the right diameter.
All seasons. I drive this car all the time as its my only one until I get my 240 running. I think I may look into the kumho tires.
Maxxis has their all season MA-Z4S VICTRA in a 225/50-15 for $76.67 each. You can buy 2 sets and be within your budget.

I didn't even know any tires were made in that size until now. Most of the EPS tires and many DOT R-comps and slicks are available in 225/45/15
Another option might be to look for some craigslist 16's and wrapping them in the moderately more common 205/50-16...It'll be a bit more expensive, but should also still be possible for less than the $175 per corner if you play your cards right.
