Well...in all my years of driving in boston, I finally screwed up a rim on my Subaru. I curbed it trying to park. The rim is curbed, but could probably be fixed with some bondo and paint. But the tire is waht I'm worried about. Right by the mounting area I took a penny sized divot outta the rim. So what you think, risk driving on it, or look into a replacement tire? They only got around 10k on them. I'm wondering if I have to replace all 4 tires if I do too, this is my first AWD car and I know they don't like different tire heights.

Ok, I might try that this weekend, it doens't look too bad..pretty superfical. Still pissed about it though. I need to look into a GRM way of repairing the finish of this rim.

I haven't done it myself yet but I may give it a shot soon, as 3 of the 4 wheels on my new-to-me 750Li are curbed...

Good writeup, I've read it before and plan to fix some of my wheels that way...but you have to wonder why the guy doesn't take the wheel off the car
