I got a nail in the sidewall of the tires on my CTS.  It couldn't be fixed so I bought 2 new Toyo Proxes for the rear.  Goodyears are on the front.

Instant squirm!!

The car is very unstable.  It tramlines (I thought that only happened on front tires), in a constant radius corner (freeway entrance) it constantly takes  a set and then hits a bump, dip or even a seam and the car turns in to the left very hard.  I've almost hit a car beside me.

We had a hard rain storm with water 2" over the read and I had to pull over as the car was all over the road.  It wasn't hydroplaning as I was going too slow, but I simply couldn't keep it in the lane.

I've run these tires on at least 2 other cars and my son has them on his car right now.  We've never experienced anything like this with these tires.

What would cause this?

I've talked to Discount Tire about it twice and they say to try to figure out what road conditions causes it.

I've gone back in 5 other times, but because my wife has just blown out her knee I can't sit and wait 2-3 hours to get it looked at.  Our Discount Tire is packed all the time.

Monday I am going to call the manager and try to set up an appointment to see him, but what can I tell him?  I've never seen anything like this.

The first guy at Discount said it must be the fact that I've got 2 different brands of tires on the car, but I've done this many times with no issues.  I will buy 2 more tires for the front soon, but I don't want 4 tires doing this.

When I was running proxies on my 911 I noticed they were extremely sensitive to air pressure, especially on the rear. Might double check that and if they're okay bump them up a few pounds and see what happens. That's all I got
