Update, two nails and something like 50K miles later, we've taken the van across dry (and wet) creekbeds, up to 10K feet in the Rocky Mountains, down through the desert, through the snow and through super high temps. I have never not been happy with the CS5, but they are potentially wearing a bit faster than they ought. The weirdo tire-depth=measuring guys at Discount Tire can't seem to agree, a few months ago they called them between 4/32 and 6/32, but this week they call it 7/32 all around. Anyway, I am happy. They have worked very well. Would buy again.
The van is being sold this week, so I'll let the new owner chime in when he replaces them.
