Just wondering if I'll be able to connect usernames and faces/cars...
In reply to Bobzilla:
Crap, I left before I saw this. what did you drive? (If you were in the novice group) How many times did you pass me?
I had a friggin ball!
Jerry: I passed the Datsun wagon, PAnther, Miata, 328i and something else.... here's the vids: https://www.facebook.com/bob.miller.1804109/videos/10208496698588018/

Crap, forgot... I was in hte SooperKia in the Novice group for free.
I'll check the vid's when I get home...
And yes, I had a berkeleying blast. A few local SCCA friends went as well and made it even more fun. Even in the novice group I was amazed at the variety of vehicles, from Miata's and my Abarth, to upper-end BMW's to a track-ready Viper and tricked-out Integra.
The only negative (besides the oppresive heat) was the concession stand closing almost at the begining of the event. (I was lined up in grid for the first session and heard them announce it was closing in 10 minutes)

Trust me, no one understands your comments like certain regions in the area.

Now in the track's defense, there were some issues that led to the way Putnam operates. All that aside, the bottom line is this: TNIA and the Indy Region SCCA have been able to secure dates there and we have been having a blast hosting events there. The TNIA's are done for the year but IndySCCA has one more event, a one day PDX (track day) on August 27th. Intermediate and Advanced groups can choose from 1/2 day or full day options at $150 (3 run sessions) or $250 (6 run sessions). Novices are full day @ $250 with professional instruction courtesy of Racecraft 1. Ask anyone who has attended a TNIA hosted by IndySCCA and they will tell you it was the most fun you can have with your pants on! The PDX will be more of the same, so go to Motorsportsreg.com and sign up today!
