This was my first official event in my new car. I sold the s2000 a couple months ago and picked up a well prepped E-street MR-2 spyder last week. What better way to enjoy the new toy than thrashing it around in the rain!

Looks like fun. How do you feel about the swap from S2000 to MR-S?

I think my door panel trim made you faster. 

I really enjoyed lounging on the couch today and NOT autocrossing in the rain.

I hear my co-driver gave you the business though , of course he beats me too so there is that.  Gonna bring it over next weekend?

I really thought this thread was gonna be about a flatulence mishap.

The s2000 was an excellent car, but it was an AP1 and not nationally competitive in BS or STR. I bought the MR-s to have a competitive car and to lower my race budget for the year. Tires are half the cost of the s2000. It drives great and the mid engine driving dynamic is a ton of fun.

Troy did great! He made the smart move and showed up on Continentals instead of his Rivals. He ended up getting me by .027. It was great to have such a close fight. I’m looking forward to the competition next season!

I will not be there next weekend. I’m officially done with AX for the year. It’s been an exhausting season and I’m needing some down time. 

In 15 years of autocross, I've only driven in one wet event. It was probably the most fun I've ever had at a autocross.
