I may be acquiring a Toyota 3.3 V6 (attached to a rough condition vehicle) at a really good price soon. A few quick questions:
First, and most importantly, does it have the same issue with oil starvation during high G turns as the earlier 3.0 V6? I remember the GRM Camry losing an engine or two due to high-ish G cornering.
Also, any easy performance upgrades? 230 HP is nice, but more would be better

Basically the same motor as the 3.0 you mentioned, just punched out a bit. Everyone seems to have moved on to the 3.5 that goes in everything, and has 300 hp.
Yah, the biggest problem with the -MZ engines is the existence of the -GR.
And the ignition coil connectors. Don't unplug the coils and if you absolutely must, use a pick to lift the lock tab gently over the retaining catch. You'll still probably break at least 50% of them.
Thanks! Sounds like it might not be a performance option, I'll have to decide on the merits of the whole vehicle.
