I dont think the MR-S or Miata automatic suggestions are good ideas at all. People already talk about stock Miatas being so slow it takes the fun out of open track days, and the automatics are significantly slower. At least with an NA miata you can do a vintage class where you won't spend all your time looking in the rear view mirror. The MR-S auto is pretty slow too. An NC automatic would probably be pretty tolerable, though. Only problem is they're 0-2k$ from a ~340hp c5 or m3. You'd have to really want the Miata to make that choice..
