Our favourite used car dealer just got in an '03 Mercury Marquis GS with 115 km's on it and is super clean. Very tempted to trade the XT that now has 238 km's on it. I'm thinking fuel economy will be about the same or better. Love the Panthers. Things to look for? I already have the Civic for economy and the Mustang for Autocross. Maybe it's nostalgic as my Dad had a '74 and an '82 (this one had the handling package).
Need more input.
Ignition coils I've read... Otherwise like I said in a recent thread: enjoy until 300,000 miles.
If you know Panthers, P71 stuff is bolt on.
You'll also have to change the oil and oil filter occasionally.

I got rid of my 99 Town Car when I started smelling coolant in the car. Book time on the heater core is something like 8 hours. Great cars though.

I am familiar with the heater core issue, I need to do mine on the fox body Mustang. Does not look like a fun job. Just drive over and had a look. Car has a tiny bit of rust bubbling on the driver's side rear fender and a nick in the bumper. Overall looks good, test drive this week and I will update.
