I'm in the middle of a manual swap in my F250.  The 200,000 mile transmission I picked up has quite a bit of wear on the input shaft where it will ride in the pilot bearing.  I knocked down the high spots with some sandpaper, but there is still enough wear that I'm concerned it will be noisy.  Is there anything I can do about this that doesn't require pulling the transmission apart?  Or should I just run it and see how it goes?  If it's a disaster, pull it back apart.

I've heard of speedi sleeves, but I don't know much about them.  I thought they were intended for sealing surfaces.  Not sure how they would handle this application.

If there is one available for the application, I don't see what you have to lose? Try it and if it fixes it great, you were prepared to pull it again anyway.

I just put one on the rear of the Molvos 302 and for the first time ever own a classic car that does not drip oil, so I have to say that the company has a clue what they are doing when they design these things.
