Dumb question i think i know the answer to.

Is it a bad idea to transport a 4 cylinder engine on its side? Oil has been drained, all open holes plugged, coolant drained.

Id think that some oilresidue will get past tbe rings into the chambers, but not enough to cause any problems.

No, do what you need to do and don't worry about it.

I did this with an engine with oil still in it.  Luckily, I took the heads off.

The pistons  each had ounces of oil on top.   If I tried to start it, I'm sure it would have locked up or bent something.

So, should i unload, sit engine upright, and reload? Really dont wNt to cause yupididit problems.

Or, just tell him to pull plugs and crank it over a bit to blow the oil residue out?

If oil was drained, I wouldn't worry about it!

I'd say the remove plugs and crank would be more than good.

Well, waste of a thread and y'alls time.

Decided i didnt like it resting on the ac compressor and set it upright.  Just means that we cant use the tonneau to keep stuff dry on the way down.

LOL if I was concerned about wasting time I probably wouldn't visit the forum at all.
