Anyone know of any? I don't know why it popped into my head but for some reason I fixated on it.
EDIT: Specifically what about installations with manual transmissions? Sorry, forgot that bit.

LS4 is the first to come to mind. It was found in the Impala/Monte Carlo SS, Grand Prix GXP and Buick LaCrosse Super.
Olds Toronado was FWD, but not transverse. As were the second gen Cadillac Seville.
Lots of FWD transverse V8's out there, but most of the ones in the last 20 years were all OHC of some type.
But it does appear that the third gen Cadillac Seville from 86-91 were transverse, and for sure, all of those engines were pushrod motors (4.1, 4.5, and 4.9l)
That's the only one I can think of.
Edit- posted in reference to the LS4.
Forgot about the Cadillac engines. I guess that they should be included, since this wasn't limited to engines that would be desirable.
I don't think anybody has solved the ls4 and manual transmission issue.
Nowhere to put a starter...
Trans bolts up just fine!
In reply to wvumtnbkr :
Why can't you do like the auto guys are doing and mount it under the oil pan? Then the flywheel is just the biggest piece left, along with enough disc and plate pressure....

ls4 king has a pan that solves that problem now
from his facebook
Starter: I have worked closely with Moroso to develop a high quality aluminum oil pan with integrated starter mount. The oil pan with pick-up tube and spin on filter adapter retails for 899. The required CVR starter motor and billet index block must be purchased separately for 299. There is currently a pre order list for the pans,

If you have a 5-speed from a 2.5L Fiero, it bolts to a small block Chevy. Those Caddy engines are getting harder to find, still running that is.
North Star Caddy engines? 1985-ish Cadillac Seville had a transverse V-8, not a NorthStar. It's basically a chain drive to the transmission. I'm not engineer enough to MacGuyver the linkage for a manual transmission.
