Put a set of four cycle fenders on it to make it streetable and that would be something. I don't find the 8 pipes that cheesy but it would be far cooler with a pair of Ecotechs joined in the middle for a biturbo straight 8 (let's be really conservative - only a 600 bhp 4 liter, which is basically stock output).
How much for one just like in the first picture , ready to run ?
$25k , $30K or ?????
its a great idea , just wondering how many will ever get finished !
Kit cars seem to have that problem of not getting done....
Anyone want a GT40 on VW chassis ?

If you want the person building it to get paid for their time, I'm guessing $30k. But the pricing for the sub kits hasn't been released so that's a WAG. I don't recall what we used to charge for an Exocet, that would be a good data point.

Similar to this.
This is the part where I start screaming.
I'm already liking the idea of a Miata body without rust concerns.
Two seats and a windshield?
(Hypothetical piggy bank cowers.)
Now do a Morgan trike on Chevy Cavalier guts, or 12/10ths Mini with Taurus or Lesabre/Bonneville or GM10 machinery.
Edit: it could be fun to have a component car that feeds on bland or loathsome vehicles.
Ding: a 12/10ths Mini on Caddy Northstar running gear would be like CWS Tuning's Coupe de Golf.

If only an Alfa 2.0 could be used instead of Miata, hmmm now who did that?
Amazingly similar to a project I've been loosely working on for a Geo 1.0 or 1.3 powered build. I have been looking for old Sprint Car body parts. I want just a body and grill.
With the chassis included I expect this to be expen$ive.
You really want a 2600 Alfa 6 cylinder. All aluminum DOHC.
newer? Jaguar 4.0 DOHC4 valve per cylinder all aluminum. 6 cylinder. Some came with a manual 5 speed.
