Our local Renault dealer (I grew up in Quebec) had three of those at one point, although I can't remember ever seeing one on the road.

This is nice...
Somehow 'Kitcar' doesn't come in mind seeing it. So properly designed. Thanks for sharing this, had no idea it even existed.

The Manic GT wasn't a kit car but a "production" car with Renault mechanics. They sold very few (160) between 1969 and 1971 before Renault stopped providing the running gear.
Pre-coke Delorean?
Not sure why, but I kinda like this - something about how the VW suspension looks sort of period correct.

The ones that make me cringe are those that look as if they should have a V8-V12, yet have a VW drivetrain. Oh, and also ones with VW drivetrains that simulate being front-engine by putting flexible dryer vent on the cowl. Kit car shows are kinda like an impostors' convention where most of the disguises are plastic noses and glasses.
While there are some nice ones out there, the industry seems to product a lot of kids that look as if the parents were a brother and sister...
Another one in Ames, Iowa...? Sounds like someone is clearing their pile...
Quoted to be built with 72 vet motor

This is prolly a VW... But Wikipedia sez there were different versions.
Yet another Bradley NMNA
Not sure if this really qualifies as a kit car, but it is unfinished and would require about as much work. For sale in Ontario

Not much Jaguar to it, and I expect zero Allard, but at least it looks happy from the front....
Here us a kit car for sale. It is made of fiberglass. Depends on your definition of "done"

the 240z kit was "invented" by Joe Alphabet who had a Ferrari shop in Orange County , Cal ,
I think it has been copied by a few others in the last 40 years ;)
One of the nicer body kits .
