Spotted mid week at the convention center in Vancouver, Canada

If it's pearl white, it's my sister's.
This week on my commute:
And, I know these aren't expensive, but probably more rare in this area than a 911 Turbo.. And I saw two in one day...
In reply to irish44j :
The rag top Sky/Solstice isn't very rare, but the fastback coupe sure is, everywhere. I don't remember the number exactly, but less than 2000 units total production.
In reply to Knurled. :
1266 coupes total, 221 in ruby red metallic. No production turbo coupes from what I found.

Actually, there were 781 GXP (turbo) coupes made, 281 with manual trans and 500 with automatics.
We only received the GXP version in Canada, and IIRC the same was true for Mexico, but all of theirs were automatics for some reason.
I much prefer the coupes, which is why I own one.
We drove to Portsmouth NH this Sunday. Saw a ferrari, the new aston martin and the old bmw supercar. One trip. Oh, and yeah, we may have bought a miata as well.
Early Chevy Avalanche with huge rims and tiny pea-shooter exhausts.
Looked too small for even a very old sub-compact.
Is that a thing I've forgotten about?
When I google ALL I get are ads selling mufflers.
When did the internet get to be so useless?

Grr, just looked again. In the dark I thought the 2nd one was a coupe as well, doh (visibility in the rally car at night isn't the greatest haha). That was moments before she almost ran me into the curb on the double-lane left turn we were on.
Yeah, the ragtops aren't rare at all around here, there are actually two in my neighborhood.
More of the usual Fairfax County commuters. I've seen this Karma a few times over the years passing my neighborhood during rush hour and it always looks awesome...saw it again today (it also has a vanity plate that, as I recall, is pretty witty).
I work with a guy who drives a Karma and another guy who's been threatening to buy a used F-Type.
Atlanta seems like a giant car show sometimes.
Not "commuting", but in the parking lot at a restaurant in Brunstucky, OH, an immaculately stock appearing Corolla SR5 notchback, in red. Still on 13" wheels too, looked like it time warped from 1989 or so.
Also, a yellow NSX on one of the backroads. That makes the third one I have ever seen in my life, and the second one doesn't count because a co-worker drove it in that day.
Saw a guy yesterday morning commuting in a 1964 GTO convertible. It was probably one of the last nice days of the year here in MN (it may snow this weekend) so I suppose he was taking one last drive before putting it away for the winter.

And here I'm whining that it's like 45 degrees in the morning and we still don't have the electric garage door opener working so we have to leave the shop open for logistical reasons. And then it gets up into the 70s in the afternoon, which is a little too warm to be wearing a coat.
ObUnusualCar: EVERY MORNING I see an M5 headed the other direction. I'm not good with 5er generations, it's newer than the E39 but I couldn't tell you if it is a V10 or a force fed V8. Only one I have ever seen in the wild. I see it sometimes when I'm driving customer cars on road tests in the 4:30pm region, too.
And the guy with the "SLOW R" makes a point of trying to pass me if we see each other on our respective morning commutes, but I do the same anyway, so I call that a wash. And Golf Rs are a dime a dozen around here for some reason.
I was next to a Audi 2 door A3 Hatchback. I had no idea such a thing existed. Then I noticed the Mexico (not New, but actual Mexico) plate. Another not sold in America cool car.
Nothing exotic but when I was in the Starbucks drive through getting my poorly made, overpriced caffeine before work, there were 2 first gen RAV4s in line in front of me. One was white and the other was green. Sadly, they were both 4 doors not the 2 door. I remember when the roads were clogged with those things when I was in high school *cough* 20 years ago *cough*. I forgot how big the windows were and how airy the greenhouse was on those.
It kinda makes me want to find a 2 door first gen with a stick.
Not unusual per se (after all, I own one), but around here it's pretty uncommon to see an e30 (with an older gentleman driving) in commuting traffic, or any other 80s car, for that matter...
Ok, this is slightly cheating but they had to commute to the autocross. I did see them on the road going to the autocross.
This Alfa 4C is a regular and really the only 4C I've seen outside the showroom. It's his daily.
This early Falcon is mostly original, still has the original 6-cyl & 2 speed A/T. Been a regular this year. Fun to watch the 20yo muscle this thing around as it doesn't have power steering or power brakes. Not fast but the owner has fun. Didn't get a good shot of it. The other photo I took of it was too blurry to tell what it is.
This was trailered in. Was fun to watch it go around the course.
The prepped Super Beetle was flat towed in. Set up pretty well, was pretty quick.
