Hey guys, I hate to post something like this here, but I'm desperate. I badly need a gauge cluster for a 88 CRX si. If you have one or know of a good source, please let me know. I've looked on CL, Ebay, the honda sites, and have not come up with anything. I do know it must be from an 88 CRX si. There may be some others that will work, but so far everything I've found that was advertised to work doesn't. I'm not up on how they differ year to year, but something must be different or I would have found one by now. If you happen to be knowledgeable about these, feel free to enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

Did you try www.car-part.com? Would the cluster from a 88 civic si work? Maybe take the guts and transplant them into the CRX housing. IDK, just thinking out loud.

There was no 1988 Civic Si.

some of the problems come from the plugs not being the same .. I had some clusters that came from some yr CRX Si that wouldn't work on my '91
Is this what you are looking for? It's located in Rochester, MA, which is about 1h 45m from my house. Unfortunately I have my hands full with the Alfa 164, so I don't know if I'll have time to pick it up.

In reply to wbjones:
No, unfortunately not. The plugs actually worked, but things must be wired differently, as when I plugged it in funny things happened. The idiot lights are different also. I was able to use them to verify that my old one was bad, so it's not all a wasted exercise. Anyways, thanks a lot of sending them to me! Let me know if you want them back.

That's exactly what I need. I'll have to contact them and see if they'll ship.

no .. they don't work for me ... wait for someone else that needs them and just pass them on
In reply to wbjones:
Looking at my repair manuals, they appear to be off HF models, as they have a special speed sensor that isn't used on other trim levels. But I can't tell what year they are.

that's what I told the guy I got them from ... though he's a Honda dealership wrench, and he thought they were Si's ... thanks for clearing that up for me .. all I knew was they wouldn't work in my car
Bumping because I'm still in need of this and CL add posters are idiots.
I don't suppose this would hit the spot?
My Honda fu is virtually nonexistent, so I have no idea whether it's significant for your purposes that this one has a higher redline than the CL one described above.

Let us know how it turns out.
So far no reply. That unfortunately seems to be more the norm than the exception with my recent CL experiences. But I'll keep trying.
Sorry, I just really need these parts..
