I remember a thread where people were getting high end lightly used race suits from Nascar teams somewhere.

Where were people getting them from and were the necessary FIA patches on them?

the Chumpcar and Lemons teams seem to snatch up all the good stuff... some are FIA rated, some are SFI rated... some aren't rated because they are pit crew uniforms, but i think you can send them into the manufacturer to get that precious patch sewn to the sleeve for a nominal fee.

I searched raceimage for a while, and found a couple other by way of their ebay stores. To find FIA vs SFI stuff, search eBay with known FIA brands like "sparco suit" "OPM suit", etc.

I ended up w/ an Impact indycar crew suit - a little heavy, and with an open cockpit car I'd like a cooler color than black, but for about 2 bills it's fine.

I have a 2 layer 2 piece RCI suit and I don't remember paying more than $200.00 for it new.
