Used supercharger inspection

So, i found a screaming deal on a used vortech supercharger. V1 is the stamping on the housing. $125 is the asking price.

How do i inspect it to make sure its at least rebuildable? I dont want a $125 paperweight.

This is just the supercharger. No brackets or anything else. Will be making it fit the duster.

Buy it. Inspect later.

A vortech v1 in the worst condition (unrebuildable) is worth $700- $800 in parts.

Wow those have gone up that much? I tossed a V2 in the scrap bin after a catastrophic failure a while ago. The only things good were MAYBE the housings. The gears and the impeller were all damaged.

You buy, double investment to me, i supercharge a challenge car?

Im debating throwing it at our challenge car. You know, to make sure that i know it works before putting it in the duster.
