Hello, anyone have any knowledge or experience with the shocks sold by Victoria British?

I do not see a brand name neither on the catalog or web page but they are offering the complete set for $89 Part # 5-445 for Spitfire or GT6 On their winter sale, normally $119. Had planned on getting KYB but they are closer to $300

Since that is about the cheapest I have seen shocks for any vehicle I am doubtful of quality, but the spit is still not drivable and would probably not see too many miles per year once finished. Can always get better shocks down the road. Plus the DD Cherokee needs shocks and was planning on putting Bilsteins = more $

Thank you

Javier

I bought a heap of parts when I did my Sprite, from both Moss and Vicky British.

In my personal experience, some of the Vicky British stuff was pretty spotty quality vs. the Moss parts. If it seems way to cheap, it is.

SpitBits.com is also a good place to check out. Spax shocks.

Thank you for the responses. I almost forgot about the classic forum, will post there next.

I agree on the quality of VB, I've ordered some parts from them and they seem to go by the cheapest available. Ordered wheel studs once and they were of very soft material and just too loose on the hub, had to order fro moss which were much better in quality and size.

I like the spax shocks (in theory at least) and that maybe for down the road when I start to use it more. The VB shocks would be something so that it does not lean like a motorcycle but opposite.

Have a good day
