Sure, the Mazda Miata may be "the answer," but does that logic still apply when the tarmac disappears? We used that question as a good enough reason to enter a Miata with a Paco Motorsports lift kit in the 2020 Gambler 500 Florida.

What can't a Miata do? Carry a couch? I'm sure it's been done by someone here.
Reminds me of the fun I had in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Had good times driving my Saab 96 V4 down the fire trails and clay pits.

Miata may be the answer; but an '85 lifted Riviera with a winch you can drive like a boss.

Normally I'd have winched from inside the car, but with a 12000 lb. winch cable dragging a barely-stuck 2200 lb. car I knew I had plenty of excess capacity.

I'm sad the footage from inside the Buick didn't make it into the video. Truly the most luxurious off-roading I've ever experienced, and I've taken new Grand Cherokees, Range Rovers, Landcruisers, etc. off pavement.

Especially if you like bad GM smell magified tenfold.
I truly enjoyed the Miata build and getting to use it at this event. I have also improved the fender clearance and it will now go anywhere.
