Sure, the Toyota GR Corolla excels on the track, but can it perform equally well as a daily driver?

I like the new "daily driver" aspect for a video series.  It'll be interesting to see what other vehicles will show up.

I don't know how he or she did it, but major props to the camera operator.  I never once saw the person in frame as they were perched on the dash or effortlessly swiveled to the seat, and back to the dash.  Mad skillz, yo! wink

Something definitely changed between the first wave of GRCs and this 2025 car. Maybe it was simply small adjustments in seat position or cushioning, but I liked this 2025 example more than the earlier cars we tested. Seemed to have better ergonomics and a better clutch relationship with the other two pedals. I've never liked when cars had very long clutch sweeps and relatively close brake and throttle (Mustang I'm looking at you). The GRC does a great job at balancing all three pdals and minimizing the amount of squirming you have to do in the seat.

I only drove the car across town when we had it but it definitely was better than the last GR we had in my opinion. The last one was underhelming on the street but the 25 feels special to me at least.

In reply to Chris Tropea :

i drove a 23 70 miles

wheb i test drove a 25 for about 50 miles it was much better overalll

thus my ctr fanboism was crushed

not surprising as japanese always makes incremental changes. later nsx, later mr2, later lTer land cruisers etc etc are always better than earlier ones in the same model

I've been daily driving mine since March 2023 and enjoying it.

Y'all are going to make me fly to a coast again to get a car. Nebraska dealers still think they are gold plated.

I'm downsizing and vastly reducing my footprint so the one car to do it all is appealing.

I'm not the least bit surprised that you can daily a GR Corolla.   What surprises me is how competent and fun they are on track and yeah, I understand the tech but, a three cylinder Toyota engine putting out 300 HP messes with my head.

The FB groups are showing new ones for sale at or slightly below MSRP way more often now.  Don't pay extra.

Some people are selling their 23s and 24s with low mileage also, if that appeals to you.

Yeah. I need to go to your favorite dealer to test drive one. They have the only one on the lot within an hour circle. There is one with a nice price down in Southern Missouri if I like it. They are taking $4100 off a 25 red premium that has been on the lot for 4 months now. For some reason a small Toyota Hot Hatch isn't a fast mover in SW missouri.

There are enough improvements that I really like the 25 premium package. My GF will probably try to steal it with the heated steering wheel and seats.

do the 25.

Mine is a P+ as the deals were on those locally.

Love the heated steering wheel.. here in So Cal, that is a MUST option every morning.

Better your GF steal your car than I steal your GF :D
