Bunch of non driving berkeleyers. The hand positioning of the Ferrari driver makes me want to punch babies.
I hope the folks in the viper were ok though.
The thing that gets me...think of how much effort they put in to get that many camera angles just to show off that level of driving prowess on public roads. At least stay on your side of the center line.

I like the way the second video ends....
"He walks away completely..." "...missing both arms."
Definitely NOT fake. There is no way to safely land that car from going sideways and off camber off a jump, and noone is going to total a 50+k car (back then) for anything less than a major motion picture.

Yeah, no E36 M3, he also did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1Z88Jo3Z-I

I hate to disagree with you but that was more of a train-wreck than a car-wreck... Wtf!!!

I love how the description blames the crash on "the front tires hit gravel and lost grip." Sure, that's what you told your mommy. But the reality is you carried too much speed and understeered. Dumba$$ is unwilling to accept responsibility. "It was the gravel, maaan!"
The Viper driver was no doubt looking at the cameraman on the side of the road instead of looking down the road. Stupid place for a cameraman, especially with obviously challenged drivers.
passing that Ferrari in the first few seconds makes me cringe. It would have been risky in a right-hand drive car. There is no way the driver of the Viper could have had a clue about on coming traffic. He just lucked up and made it. Pure idiocy

Agreed, the worst part is that by denying any responsibility for what happened he can't really learn from what he did wrong and correct it for next time. Because there will be a next time...
If you guys really wanna see some cringe inducing driving, just search for Mulholland Drive fails or crashes. Its very unsettling. youtube.com/watch?v=WoBg9vmKbz0
