I wish I was going to be there, I was out for the race/prod-fest (AKA funny little old car show) crewing for a bright orange FP 914 that had pretty piss poor luck (shifter linkage and puked it's 3rd clutch slave cylinder O-ring since April of this year) right up until the race, when it actually finished and finished fairly well. school is keeping me in Richmond this weekend, though, unfortunately :(

and I'm home ( 4 hr drive .. 2 1/2 hrs before the race ends )
5th hr ... we done blowed up
Congrats on the win. We were there as well. I was crewing for 2 cars entered by CSR. We won our class in STU and finished 4th overall with Esbanlaub and Putman and Jim Jordan driving.
Very unfortunate to hear of the death at Automatic Racing.

Yeah, that is sad. Condolences to his family and friends. I didn't find out until after the race. At least he went out doing what he loved.
In reply to CGLockRacer:
Thanks. Nice to come away with a class win after all the crap weather. My toes are still numb...
We won ITB..and beat all of ITA... and all of ITS. Douglas Racing put together a great car, all the crew did was show up, dump gas in it, and needlessly change a few tires.
I hated to hear about the death. :-/. We were hoping for 300 laps, which had never been done by an ITB car, but that 40 minute stop killed that idea.

Medical issue while racing. No crash. The car coasted to a stop in Oak Tree turn and rolled back down the hill and came to a stop off track.
In reply to CGLockRacer:
And Congrats to you too. We were really hoping for a top 20, but it didn't quite work out that way.
We were pitted next to 57(the 2nd place car). They were on pins and needles for the last hour. First they thought that SLC would overtake them, then Bimmerworld blasted by them. Sucks that they came all the way from Montreal just to take 2nd.

And so sad to hear of Mark Hillestad. My prayers and best wishes go out to his family, friends and racing partners.
