So... updating the Volvo when I get back to Georgia.
Getting these wheels:
18x8, et 20 redrilled to 5x108.
Coilovers:
XYZ, don't think they are bump/rebound adjustable, just enough to bump around town.
New turbo:
or rebuild the current one
I want to build a Big Brake kit from a set of Porsche 993TT front calipers and S60R front rotors, but it would cost me the same as buying a kit from IPD. Would need Carriers and pads and shims, ect...
Gonna be one cool Wagon when done!!
haha! Been talkin with Gary Whitt. I should be at Rd. Atl in June. Wish you were gonna be there!
<- See my avatar? I'm making that face right now. I demand pictures of this Volvo!
Pics or it did not happen!!!!!!!!
In reply to JtspellS:

I will probably be there working.
Then I'll probably see you in June!
Call up Lucky at ARDIdeas and get one of his tuned ECUs.
I love the one he did for my 850.

Was planning on getting one. How much are they?

Question for you. Are the camber plates with the kit the ones in the picture above? Ones that appear to be a solid bearing mount with no rubber isolator? If so, I'd have reservations about installing these if you plan to use the car primarily on the street. I just pulled a set of these off a MINI for the primary reason they made the ride absolutely intolerable on crappy NJ roads. I replaced them with a set of fixed camber plates with rubber isolators and the street ride was much improved.
Another thing... ET20 on a FWD car? That doesn't sound right. The 17x8 wheels I just pulled off the g/f's 850 had a lot more offset (35+ IIRC) and still hit the fender lips.
Are 850's easy to work on? How are parts cost?
850's are very easy to work on. The parts are reasonable; not cheap but not as costly as many other European makes. Aftermarket parts can be pretty cheap.

...as long as you don't need a new automatic transmission...
Oh, crap! Did the trans go out on your girlfriend's car?

I went with the orange tune but I think I'll step up to the green after a few more mods.
You can get them direct from ARD here: http://www.ardideas.com/1994-1997tuning.html
They are cheaper coming from Snabb, it's the genuine article from ARD, just at a better price: http://www.snabb.us/
Before you do any of that, get the car to a solid stage 0 state: http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/what-is-stage-0.html
I still need to replace the pcv system as it is pretty badly clogged on my car, just need to find the time to do it. I'll be installing one of Snabbs intake manifold insulators at the same time.
Also, if you're going to replace the rubber elbow in the intercooler plumbing (a good idea since they're probably a bit dry by now), the silicone kit is about $200.00 but a cheap eBay front-mount intercooler with the piping and silicone elbow is about $150 from CXracing.

Yep. Due to a lack of time and the fact none of the diagnostic programs she bought would "talk" to the transmission controller, she finally broke down and took it to a local Volvo specialist. They waived their more fancy computer wand over it and said none of the codes they were getting indicated it would be something that could be fixed easily (replacing the solenoids, for example) and recommended a new trans.
NOT cheap, unfortunately. Hopefully it means the car will be good for at least another 100K miles... I've replaced damn near everything else...
She mused about doing an ECU tune, but if that means putting more stress on the transmission there isn't a fat chance in hell now.

I am assuming that is just a generic picture used. I thought they had a camber adjustment bolt. If they do come with a set of plates, I'll figure out something, to see if they will work or not.
As for the wheels, it is going to take a lot of fender rolling to get them to fit. If not, guess they will be getting box flares...
