Herbie, Hollywood's most beloved Volkwagen Beetle, will cross the block at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 17-19.
And yes, this is actually one of the cars used in the hit "Love Bug" film series. While there were quite a few “Herbies” used in the films, only a few remain…
Just thought of something. Know the Carrello lamp on the front of Herbie? I have a complete NOS set. Hmmm.

I don't know, squirt some of that oil on her...
After recently watching 1960s racing movies, "Lemans" and "Grand Prix," for the first time, I wonder if the original Herbie movies were meant as a spoof on those "serious" racing films(?)

You are dating yourself old guy.
The original came out the year after I was born.

I've noticed the forum software will do that if you don't leave a space between the last period and the [ / b ]. It will do the same with [ / i ].
#53 is always my autocross number for my 2013 TDI beetle!
I watched the original on Netflix a few months ago, before I dropped the disk option, and loved it again. Later they sent Herbie Goes Bananas, when I forgot to update my list. Horrible, just horrible.
