I am looking for a team mate for my 2017 Challenge car. I need someone capable of programming and/or hacking.
Must want to do something cool for the $2017 Challenge. Must be good at cheap creative (sometimes sketchy) solutions. Must be able to attend the $2017 Challenge.
This has nothing to do with MS. Much more. If this doesn't make the cover of the magazine, nothing I do ever will!
Prefer someone in the Southeast. GA, FL? Maybe AL, SC, NC.
PM me.
For the rest of you, you will just have to wait....
What are you looking for? Programming/hacker is very broad.
C, C++, Java, Ada, Verilog, VHDL, embedded, SoC, PLC, board design, control law, graphical... what do you want?
Ok now I am really curious
Ovid IV, Esq., though having no IT skills, is available as federal criminal defense attorney when you are charged with hacking into NASA database.

Excellent! After hacking the NSA, I will know exactly where to find you when I am in need of your services!
Hacking the timing and scoring equipment isn't consistent with the spiritual of the event. This isn't IMSA.

I got mad skillz
10 PRINT "HELLO"
20 GOTO 10
I had a flux capacitor in one of my challenge cars, if it worked I could have finished before I started. Theoretically.
I'm guessing Electric powered build ?
Or broadcast EMP on the field. Shut everyone with electronics down. Then he can lap as slow as he needs. Of course, the Feds would be at that location before he could complete one Stone Age style lap.

You guys just keep guessing...
I'm guessing something with absolutely no ecu support and he wants to use it standalone without the budget hit of megasquirt.

It has nothing to do with engine management.
Active aerodynamics? Active suspension?

I don't see how active aero would help enough for autocross at the challenge vs budget spent. Even just using the brakes as the signal to move the wing.
I thought maybe he just wanted working factory gauges in an LS1 RX8 build.

Significantly more creative.
Computer controlled dynamic camber would be an interesting thing to see being played with. I havent gone digging, but I dont recall anyone playing with that much before.

I'd guess this has more to do with the concours than the 'speed' events. SVreX already knows how to go fast. The real differentiator in the top five is how well you impress the judges.
