I'm looking for a body shop that does restoration work (not just collision and insurance work).  Prefer a GRM referral to someone you have experience with.  1960 El Camino that will have to be taken down to bare metal.  Will need some metal work- rust repair in the rockers.

The car is a resto-mod, not a full period restoration.  I want a decent quality job at a fair price, not a 98 point Concours job.

I may be willing to do prep work- negotiable.

Looking for a shop anywhere between middle SC and middle GA.  Prefer near Columbia, Augusta, Atlanta, or Macon.  Charlotte, Greensboro, or Charleston also a possibility.  Willing to trailer it to a shop.

Any recommendations?

I am having some metal work done on my corvair at lucky 13 customs in jacksonville.  He has done a bunch of stuff for me over the years and has always been fair price wise.

Ask for Jason.  He is the owner and painter.  He is always working on several older cars so I would imagine a 60's el camino would be in his wheel house.

Thanks!

Jacksonville is 4 1/2 hours from me, on a path I don't travel often. It would be a little hard for me to check up on him during the work.

I'm gonna see if I can find anyone closer before I call, but I am open to possibly doing business with him.

Thanks!
