On today’s episode of warehouse finds we have this.
78k miles on it, wearing polyglass radials.

Looks like '78 or '79. Which means either a gutless 305 or a gutless 350. I still love me some Disco 'Vettes though

No looks like 74 to 77 A’s it still has stingray on the side and doesn’t have the new fastback window that came in 78.

Whoops, you're right. Even more embarrassing, there is a red '79 in the shop right next to me currently. I suppose if it was a '74, it could have a 454, but I doubt it. Likely still a very gutless small block.

It’s a 76 or a 77 with the base l48 350. Only makes around 180 hp but the torque is great as it comes in at 2400rpm.

And the good news is, a SBC is an SBC is an SBC. So you can bolt all sorts of go-fast goodies to it, or drop in a snortin' 383 or 400 crate motor. And because a late C3 is essentially monetarily worthless, you can do what you want to one and not really have to worry like if you were, say, modding a split-window '63 or an original L88 1969 car

A set of hooker side pipes will definitely help get up and go more. When my dad put them on his 69 corvette his quarter mile time dropped a full second. Also air cleaners can definitely make a difference,in 79 they gave the l48 the dual snorkel air cleaner that had been on the l82 and that have an extra 15 hp.
The steering wheel can show what year it is if it’s the stock one. The 76 vettes got the camaro/vega wheel while 77 got their own unique wheel again.

Notice the mold on the dash, I need to get this out of here soon before it is doomed.
Looks like they swapped the original wheel for the 69 to 75 one. The 76 wheel wasn’t popular and did block some gauges.
In reply to akylekoz :
So WOOD started in '24, which would mean this was raffled off in '99. Unless they aren't counting the first two years when it was WEBK, which would mean it was raffled in '01
In reply to NickD :
Wouldn't have been '99. The 28th was a Tuesday that year. 2001 was a Friday. Could have 1996. Much later than that, though, and you'd have at least an email address and you'd have a 10-digit phone number probably.
Although, Wood Chevrolet opened in 1974. As was ICCF. Perhaps they meant the 25th...?
