I often wash my car at a shop near my home. Yesterday the staff suggested washing the machine compartment because it was quite dusty. I know it, but I was not sure what to do. I've bought this car for 2 years. If there is a problem I always bring the car to the company to check. So should the workers in the shop wash the car engine? Thanks

You never have to wash a canoe.

Maybe not canoe?

Either way, your motor is going to be dirty. Thats not going to cause much issue as it happens to all cars really. Cleaning the engine compartment is OK, just avoid hosing down the electronics.

I thought this was going to be about Haier's new EV racer which uses a washing machine motor.
