Wife just told me it's time for her 5 to move on. Could have sworn someone was looking for one recently. If so, I've got a 60k mile 2007 Sport auto with Sirius and Enkeis that could be in your driveway for $8500* PM Me, mystery person.

- which means I want $8000, but it feels better when you think you negotiated $500 off the price.
I think that was me. Sorry. Heated leather, 0% interest, and an easy trade-in were too good to pass up.

Damn. Yeah, that's a good deal. I think she may be moving to a 6. She's ready for something more sedany.

Too bad you are almost as far away from me as possible while still being in the US.
I hear that the new Mazda6 is pretty darn nice.
And hey, this should be the open classified forum. Canoe! I'm telling!!

I've heard that too, but with 184 hp it sounds like Mazda's produced yet another awesome chassis that can't beat a minivan in a drag race. 17.5 pounds per hp? Really?

Shame about the lack of a clutch pedal. I'd be all over it.
And yeah, that is a screamin deal. Honestly, jg, I somehow totally missed it (I think) the first time you mentioned something about it. Otherwise I would've seriously considered it.
Oh well. Should move quickly at that price. Luck, dawg.
JG, I think your timing is wrong. If this were for sale in the spring, and you just possibly happened to include a couple tickets to the Mitty, I think you'd get more bites.

I don't think it's actually been "official" until now, anyway.
She's been hemming and hawing about what she wanted to do, and new stuff that was coming out, and the fact that the 5 was paid for and she didn't want a payment, etc. I think now that the school year has started again and she's getting a paycheck after that long dry summer it's dealin' time.
The 6 and the CX5 are probably at the top of our list, but there's also some serious consideration being given to mid-oughts euro-wagons. A nice 2006 5-Series wagon with 70,000 miles on it will only set you back about $16k right now. Same for a Benz E350 wagon. That's a hell of a lot of car for the money right now, and there's not much more to be lost to depreciation. If she can't completely fall in love with something new—and its corresponding payment and depreciation hit—that may be the way we go.

Well i guess you wouldnt like the Mazda5 this thread is about either.

Vaguely agree with the first part and strongly disagree with the 2nd part.
Now seems like a good time to throw in MAZDA 6 DIESEL ENTHUSIASM! WOOOOO
JG, I just finished a 9 month stint at Jim Ellis Mazda Atlanta. Now am in Fleet and Commercial at our Chevy store. We have a 6 Touring manual in Meteor Gray that is spectacular. This was made before the price increase. I will introduce you to the owner (and show her the mag) if you would like. They will likely load up on your trade and give a compelling price on the new one.
