Matt...PM me your number. We're leaving the DC area around 5 AM. We should connect if either of us have any trouble.

You can likely goto the banquet and not eat. OR..... Call GRM headquarters and buy a ticket for the banquet.

Good news for me! I was a boner and just realized today that I didn't have a banquet ticket. Spectate fail.

I threw out my back on Friday and was stuck on the couch until Tuesday. I'm barely walking, so the car is going to be dirty, and the valve cover racers won't track straight. Dirty cars are faster, Right?
On Sunday I thought I might have to pull a Hannibal Lecter and get pushed around on a two wheel hand cart. Fava beans and a nice Chianti, Yum.

No worries, Bryce: We have banquet tickets available, and they include Friday night's Sonny's BBQ as well as the Saturday banquet. Price is $65, and best to get them at registration Friday morning, since we only have a few left.

I'm loaded up and ready to roll after work tomorrow! I'm planning to attend a rallyx on Sunday after the challenge and will need to head back home Saturday night to grab my rally tires and get some sleep. Will I be missing an amazing time if I skip the banquet Saturday night? I don't really anticipate taking home any trophies. I live 3 hrs south of the Challenge and the rallyx is an hr north of my house - so lots of driving between the two events.
I had initially planned to spend Saturday night with a buddy in Tampa near the rallyx, but that was before I picked up some snow tires. I will have to get home Saturday night to trade the Rs for the snows.
Stack the rallycross tires on top of your other race tires, drop them off at your buddy's place on your way up to the challenge, and save some drive time. You'd be a fool to skip the banquet and associated hang out time, it's a big part of the fun of the event.

BTW, I'm bringing 3 GoPro's with Suction cup mounts if anyone wants to get video of their runs. You can either bring your own SD card or put on mine and I'll download later. See car # 87 in the pits.
Tom if you are down I am calling out the trooper for an epic drag race. 1981 4 speed land cruiser vs. newly re-engined trooper...
We're here... sorta. Actually at the urgent care center down the street. 101º fever and a throat infection. Yippie. It ain't called the Challenge for nuthin. Antibiotics. Stat!
