Hey, we just did this! We bought a <30K mile 2010 CPO for $14,700 out the door with TTL. It's been 11 months and about 10K miles and it's been a great car. We've done one oil change (had to pay to have it done as a "servicing" for the CPO warranty, but our local Indy shop was qualified) and I had to replace the starting battery when we got our first freezing snap. Lifetime average is hovering around 45MPG, all of this below-freezing weather is bringing the average tanks down to 41 right now, but 50+ was common in the summer. It has great traction in the wet and snow and it's surprisingly punchy off the line. The hatch area is a lot bigger than it looks. There's a trunk under the flat floor, which just pulls out, and then an "under trunk" under that, which also pulls right out. Both back seats also fold completely flat. We did look at the CT200h, and the hatch area is actually less useful (smaller opening, narrower, and a shorter roof height). I would heartily recommend the 3G Prius to anyone. (I also harbor a hankering to buy a cheap high-miles one, throw the TRD springs/sways on it with some Koni's, a set of 17's or 18's with 200TW tires, and go autocrossing with it...)

There is an instructor at VIR that runs a Prius C with Hoosiers. Hillarious to watch.

Ct has a different engine iirc. My dad has a 14 ct, I have an 05 prius, id trade lol. Mine's better on gas but handles like E36 M3, his is cooler, nicer, handles better, but mine was a fifth of the money his was. Neither has needed any repair whatsoever.

Weird. There are a TON around here and many are selling for sub-Prius prices.

If I was shopping for a new car right now I would be extremely tempted by this. CT200h F-Sport Premium, highest spec trim in a wonderful color, asking $16.5k. And if my local results are any indication you can do pretty well at the $12k end of the spectrum if you shop smart.

I also think it is very cool that the CT actually comes in COLORS!

For what it's worth, my in-laws recently bought a used one. They love it. I forget the price, but I remember thinking that it sounded like a deal. They bought it from a new car lot, too, so it wasn't like some shady Craigslist deal.

I might have to go test drive that and see what kind of financing they can give me.

They did a mid model refresh for the CT in 2014. They improved the chassis strength and sound insulation, some interior do-dads like the screen and navand exterior things. Most importantly the sunvisor slides on its support arm to block the sun from the side. The F-Sport got the love it or hate it spindle grill. I thought the 2014 was a nice improvement.

The CT in the used market is a deal. They were way more money than a Prius new, but command little to no premium in the used market.

That's a pretty awesome cockpit in the CT.
Even a real dead pedal.
