Does anybody Know what car came from the factory with this carb? I'm trying to find one in a junkyard.

I don't know if they came on anything from the factory, but I dragged home a free MGB that had one on it a few years ago. I think they're a common replacement on MG's and BMW 2002's.

They bolt right up to my chevette but I want to find one used and get a rebuild kit because I'm poor.

The Holley Weber 5220 found on some Chrysler 2.2's is basically the same carb. Beware the more common 6520 electrocnic feedback carb. I have a few 5220s on the shelf in my garage.

Whats the CFM on those? Mine is a holley 5200 and it's 180. the weber 32/36 is 350.

DK, but a 5200 is a 32/36 carb. Tuning parts such as jets and floats can be interchanged.

Holly/Weber 5200 32/36's also came on Pintos, Mustang II's, Vega's, Omni's. Horizons, and pretty much any other 4-banger car from the 70's into the 80's that never really ran quite right.

They take a bit of dinking around with, but they work pretty good. Another common hop-up to VW's.

Where can I get these parts?

Also heard awhile back that a Holley 2300 will bolt to a 32/36 manifold, but have not tried it. Anyone have any info?

I'm pretty sure it won't - I think the 32/36 flange is smaller. But it should match the Motorcraft 2V from most 8's back in the day.

I have a 32/36 DFAV I'll sell ya, cheap! I think I got rid of all of my 5220's though.

Unfortunately it won't. The Holley 2300 2 bbl is a direct swap for the V8 Motorcraft piece but the 32/36 Weber/5200 Holley-Weber share a bolt pattern that's completely different from the 2300. Holley made a staged 2 bbl based on that 2300 design which can be used on the 5200 style intake with an adapter plate.

There used to be an adapter plate that permited the use of a 2300 on a Chrysler 2.2 (I am told), but it is no longer in production. I may have to make one out of a block of aluminum. I know that many "mini-stock" curcle track classes required a 2300 carb and there are 2.2s with 350 CFM 2300s.

Anyone have a line where one can purchase metal. Nowhere to get it here in the Pocono Mountains.

Moparman: www.onlinemetals.com has worked well for me. They carry a lot of oddball stuff that's hard to find elsewhere.

A junkyard called Roy Rogers here in Springfield, MO had one the other day when I called about a Weber 32/36. Don't know if they ship though. They are friendlier than most junkyards.

I'll ask them about the carb. As for metal, I don't need any metal right now, but I would love to have a resource.

The Holley ones have the primary and secondary swapped with respect to the Weber 32/36, and depending on your manifold it might not disperse the fuel and air as well to the cylinders.

The 2300 adapters are available all over the place, too. Just find someone racing Pinto engines and as where he gets his parts and they'll have them. If you don't have any luck, just get a 1" spacer for a 2300 carb and punch 4 new holes down through it with the tops wide enough for allen bolts and you'll be set for under $25.

So is a weber 32/36 350 CFM? I've heard that my holley 5200 is smaller
