My neighbors across the street have one, from looking at wikipedia its an 03-08 model. For probably most of the time they have had it (several years), while it is sitting in their driveway it will honk 5 times in rapid succession and the parking lights will flash. I usually notice it late at night, and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern, and I can't remember ever hearing it more than 2-3 times in a day or less than 30 minutes apart. Any idea what could cause this? Maybe someone sitting on the key fob in the house? Its really kinda strange.
If its doing it at night, and they haven't tried fixing it, I'd be tempted to kindly invite myself over and disconnect the battery.
Ill go with somebody hitting the key fob on accident

Then you can take it off their hands for a low GRM price because of the 'no start' condition.
That's interesting. My dad's got an '05, and when you hit the lock button, it only honks once in typical Honda fashion. I wonder if there's an aftermarket alarm at play here?
They do weird things when battery voltage is low. Like flashing the low oil pressure light. Could be that.
