Who knew. I'm beat and this is the 3rd try. I think this one is going to stick...

And one of me towing the Exocet with the Speed3 - the trailer has brakes and it's under the towing capacity for the lot of it. It pulls surprisingly well.

A Thrush "Turbo" style muffler, haven't had the car on yet - still have to deal with a few small details.

Will have to deal with it all tomorrow, I'm exhausted (insert rim-shot here)

I did my first one from scratch this winter.  Yep, it surprised me how long it took.  I REALLY depended heavily on my pipe stretcher, so I could slip-fit the tubes and adjust positions on the car before I tacked them down.

In reply to JBasham :

For the third and (hopefully) final try, I ordered this kit. It had way more tubing than I needed - the 45* angles ended up being the crux of the whole operation. The mid-pipe bend was hell on Earth, and the only butt welded piece, I'll probably need to reinforce it.

Good job on the exhaust. Exhaust building is surprisingly difficult, even though it looks easy.

Phfft, I really enjoy doing exhausts, especially header construction.

Phfft, I really didn't enjoy doing the exhaust. ;)

Though I am pretty proud of the end result.

Hmmmm.....   how much of that kit do you have left?

I built my own long tube headers and exhaust for the challenge car.  Out of Patrick's scrap headers and exhaust. That was far more difficult than i expected. Especially since its 3 inch to the bumper on a miata.

Right!? And this is for the Exocet so packaging is so tight...

So much, I'll have to look, though I haven't done the last few cuts.

I’m in the need for a 180 and pair of 90’s in that size at the very least,  so let me know once things are buttoned up if you’d be interested in selling

Pretty sure I'll have that much - but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch (since this has been a royal pain so far).

Having not paid much attention to the exocet, i can't tell if you were serious or not.  Is it tighter than the miata?

Very serious (well as serious as random dude posting on the internet can be - that is not very serious), you lose a lot of the overhang. Though I've never made a Miata exhaust, so I might be mistaken

And we have a functioning exhaust. The last mile on this was as hard as the first, but I think much of that can be attributed to doing this on the floor under jacks...
