I think SAAB's soccer ball alloys are supposed to be pretty strong.

Those would be 4x4.5, not 4x100.

that's what Nonack uses. I think he has hub adaptor spacers.

He uses the later 900 turbo wheels which are 4x108.

...which is what XR4Ti and pretty much all other four lug Fords use.

(except for very early 4 lug Mustangs and Falcons, and Mazda-based cars, which are not really technically Fords anyway)

Don't the NB Miata 15" alloy wheels take a ton of abuse at rallyx without complaints?

The fast cars run 14" snowflakes, though.

Interesting note. I have 8, 14" snowflakes I use on the Lemons Civic. We ran 4 rallyX events with the car when the local rallyx program started up. 4 drivers each event, 10 runs each. I now have 3 bent snowflakes. They are bent bad enough to be unusable for Lemons. Luckily, the Civic is pretty easy on tires and we only use 6 per event.

Yeah, I'm staying wiht 4x100 pattern since I have extended studs anyhow. Getting some 56.1mm hub bore 20mm spacers and I'll bore them out on the car side to 57.1 to fit the e30. That'll basically make all Honda/Integra/Saturn/other 15s a direct fit, hubcentric and no messing around with conversion spacers.

Apparently 15s on a Honda are not cool anymore, because FB Marketplace is full of them for a hundred bucks a set, and they just sit there for weeks unsold. Plus they're all nice and narrow.

If you where closer you could have a set of Mini wheels that have been in my way..

yep, but 50 offset as well, so would still need huge spacers. So if I'm doing the big spacers, will try to make it usable by as many wheels as possible. 57.1 will work on a 56 hub,but not vice versa ;)

I can see you guys have arrived at the correct conclusion already, but I'll confirm- they're the right bolt pattern, nearly the right offset (I run a tiny spacer, 5mm?), and super tough.  The only modification to the hubs is 5/8" wheel studs.

I've yet to find an aftermarket wheel (dedicated rally wheels excepted) that has the same combination of inexpensive, durable, and disposable as your average 1990s OEM wheels. Certainly there are aftermarket options for lower budgets, but remember, we have 3-4 sets of wheels for rally with different tires, so even a cheap aftermarket wheel still ends up costing a couple grand for initial buy in.

But yeah, TR woudl be a good option if i was going to go that route, for sure.

Almost forgot to mention... Shoot me an email if you want any 14"ers. I have at least 3 sets to spare. 15s are more sought after since the tire choices got lean on smaller wheels. My crx is getting a brake upgrade that will preclude their use.
