Good Day,
My BIL is looking for a car to replace his AMG C63 Merc. He wants this next car to be a true manual.
he is also looking for something that goes well in the Pittsburgh, PA weather (He thinks AWD is the only way to go).
He also wants to have and or be able to.... "bore that E36 M3 out or do whatever to get that bitch past 500bhp". <-- his exact words.
Car must be 5 years old or newer. Money is not exactly a deciding factor (sub 100K is preferable).
Thanks all!
Rob R.

Big power and AWD? Pretty sure you said either GT-R or Evo. GTR if money is no object.
In reply to mndsm:
GT-R fails on the "true manual" front, though.
If a 100K price is acceptable then he's describing a GTR (edit: oh forgot he wants an H-pattern 3-pedal manual). Otherwise he'd have to mod an Evo or WRX.
I'd probably mod an Evo if I were in his shoes. The GTR's complexity is frightening for a car. For a fighter jet it would be OK.

Oh, hai.
Pretty much the gold standard here.
$25k for an Evo IX and another $25k for tuning it should get well north of 500hp with a properly built engine.
The Veyron doesn't need the E36 M3 bored out

Forgot about that. Evo for me then.
R8 V10? Or does that have flappy paddles too?

Way more then 100K and hard to find in a manual. Much to my chagrin.
Lots of not-sedans in this thread.
The answer is Evo or Audi RS-something or other.
oops I can't read. Sounds like the Audi RS is the only option unless you get an Evo and build it. Of course if you get the Evo every douchetato will try and race you.
EDIT: Crap only the RS6 has over 500 but no manual. This is harder than I though it would be. Just buy the evo and tune it for over 500.
Poop, I forgot the big important part in the post: Must be a sedan!
Can you actually find and or buy an RS6 manual?
Is the Panamera available with a true manual? It's a sedan, albeit a butt ass ugly one, and should be at, or capable of, 500 HP.
This may be out of left field, but how about a Volvo V70R/S60R? Both are 4 doors, both can be found with manuals, WELL below $100k, and, with tuning, can probably touch 500 HP (not sure that would be reliable though).

335ix + tune + exhaust = done

Didn't know folks are getting 500 hp from those. Nice!
Just pretend that the CTS-V wagon has awd.

IDK about 500, but they're making good power on them for relatively cheap.
If the budget is 100k though, its tough to beat a 911 in this game

Or man up and realize that 500hp and big sedan go hand in hand with an automatic and get a low mileage 08 flying spur speed.

It seems to be a great platform. From what I've read, 400 hp is easy.
Except the 911 isn't a sedan.

I am SO in for the idea of a 500awhp V70R. WANT.
