My mother currently has a 2006 Mazda 6 Wagon V6 Automatic with the "sport" package (17" wheels different front and rear bumpers, side skirts).
She LOVES this car. She is worried about what to get to replace it in the next year or so.
Soooooo, what car can you get in a wagon type body style that handles well and has good power?
Rules:
Needs to have a sunroof and leather seats.
Needs to be less than $30,000.00
Can be used if it has low miles (less than 35,000 miles)
Needs to be an automatic
No SUV's

Can she just keep the 6 longer? Sounds like a great fit for her.
Wagons generally mean that you have to look at euro cars, as they are the only ones who make real wagons.
My two suggestions would both be lightly used:
3 series wagon: Well known, plenty around in her desired configuration
TSX wagon: very rare, but they do exist. Honda 4cyl reliability, looks good
Acura TSX Wagon
Full price, new is $32k. I am sure you could negotiate to under $30k.
