Smiths gauges will generally work and with some searching you can find a full set out of a parted LBC for pretty cheap - I want to say around $100 for everything. Maybe more. Probably less. If you'll be anywhere near Carlisle PA in the middle of May, browse the Import show vendor area with some cash. Some of them will require an odd voltage stabilizer (regulates down to like 10V), but those are easy to source or build yourself if you're handy.

If it weren't for the god awful "JEGS" logos glowing in my face I would have pulled the trigger on these a long time ago. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/41290/10002/-1
Those don't look too bad. Could probably swap for a dimmer bulb or take them apart and cover the JEGS part.
Since I have a tach and don't need the whole set I am really looking at the electrical water temp and oil pressure gauges individually. @$40/each, I think I can swing that withing budget.

I will be at the import show! (Though I am trying to have the car drivable for said show.) I'll definitely take a look there.

Cool. I should be there with either the GT6 (hopefully) or the Spitfire and should be parked and/or hanging out with the other Spitfires. Thursday afternoon through Sunday.

A number of ze German cars have decent VDO gauges that are often able to be picked up reasonably cheap and they tend to work when the the senders and wiring are in good shape.
AIMSports MyChron 4 or MyChron 5.
Shouldn't be too hard to find for a couple hundred dollars.
I had a sunpro tach fail once after about ten years. Not bad for $30. I replaced it with another sunpro.
