I'm getting tired of the wheels I have on my car now. The polished lips look like crap (someone didn't take care of them) and the metallic color gets dirty fast. I'd like some flat bronze colored wheels but I'm not sure how it would look on my Konigs. I'm also open to other colors, as long as they hide brake dust well. What does everyone think? A photoshop would be awesome if someone could.

Frankly, I think it would be hard to improve on those wheels. Very nice....condtion aside. I understand the need for change though and bronze might be nice. Typically I like "crazy" colors in wheels but those are sweet the way they are.

^Yeah, something like fluro green or pink. Otherwise, maybe you could paint the lip in the same graphite/grey color they are currently.
white cars look hawt with bronze wheels. That said, red would look good too with a black lip. just my .02, Take pics when done!

I agree with the other respondents. They look fantastic as is.
As for the lips, you could use Keith's trick of a 130 hp lathe. He seemed to get good results from it.

Another vote for leaving them alone. That car looks hot.
Bronze would probably be hot against the white.

I like the overall scheme, but a flat or satin black/dark grey is easier to live with and might look good longer after cleaning.

Mine are a dark, metallic bronze. They show a bit of metallic in the direct sun, otherwise just look dark.
Here is a closeup, direct light pic that shows the metallic.
To everyone who said leave them alone: That's my biggest problem with the idea of painting them. They honestly look good the way they are, its just the lips look terrible. I also think it might look kinda weird to have the rookie stripes a different color than the wheels. I'd like to get new wheels but I'm too "grassroots" (poor) for that. Now I'm thinking about using Keith's lathe trick to just fix the lips and spray it with some clear or something. Is it particularly easy to take the valves out and dismount the tires?
I'm going to go with the ricer comment and say paint them red... Maybe that's a little too "Honda" though.
I think bronze would look nice on your car, but the style of the wheel seems to "Chunky" to be good in bronze.
And I drooled when I realised what was going on with the "lathe"

Just walked out into the parking garage at work and right into a black Miata with those Koenigs on it. Secksy. Clean up the lips and reclear the whole wheel.

That works well on my 9C1's black steelies. I rarely clean them, and they still look relatively nice. But that bronze on the Probe looks tits!

I like them the way they are too, I bet a wheel shop could repair the lips for a pretty reasonable price!

One set of wheels was pretty badly chewed up and this let me treat the rash without any risk of flat spots on the lip.

I agree on the lack of danger, though I'd rather see it with an ungloved hand. Gloves can snag. .0001 second later the E36 M3 begins hitting the fan.
