So, my can of "garage door lube" is empty.

I need to replace it with something.

Uses: latches and hinges on the fleet, garage door rollers, and other things that need lubricant via aerosol.

What do we reccomend? Im in the south with high humidity and little below freezing temperatures.

I've only ever bought the cheapest spray cans of white lithium grease, so I'll be watching this to see if there's anything better.

One thing I picked up on a whim that has come in handy quite a few times is a can of graphite spray lubricant. It works well on stuff like bushings and doesn't attract dirt like grease will.

PB Blaster is my go to for anything that needs lubing.

I'm a lifelong fan of LPS products since way back in the day when I was an airplane mechanic. It's all high quality mil-spec stuff specified by aircraft manufacturers. They have 1, 2, and 3.

For your uses, you want LPS 2 . It's not that expensive at all. Less than 20 per can from Zoro or Grainger or wherever you prefer to order from.

Specifically spray grease: I use whatever brand of white lithium. But I dont use spray grease often. If I need a spray lube, or a regular grease, I'll usually reach for something else.

I only clicked on this because I thought it said spray Geese and really wanted to know what that was.

FTFY. Don't get me wrong, I love it for freeing up rusty nuts and bolts, but that stuff is...odorous.

Graphite is great...until it gets wet. Then it turns into a non-lubing, clumpy paste. But if you can ensure it stays dry, its fantastic .

Fluid Film.  Expensive, but it will stick around to do the job.

I used to be a big PB Blaster fan.  Then Kroil popped up on my Amazon page and I figured I'd try it.  Ain't going back to PB.  Doesn't hurt that I love its smell now that I've gotten used to it. It's the smell of a frozen fastener freed.

Also tri-flow for bikes is good stuff, pb is for outdoor use only, ohh that smell!

Wurth makes a good spray lube.  Another option is motorcycle chain lube if you want something sticky.

Another obscure highly specialized product - Alisyn from Aerospace Lubricants. Been a fan for 25 years. High viscosity to stay where you spray, and seems to wiggle itself in, everywhere.

White lithium grease of any variety or Lucas Red 'n Tacky in the can have both worked well for me.

CRC spray lithium here for spray grease.  For stuff that I don't want to drip, sling, or sludge I use bike chain lube, which has a penetrating carrier fluid that evaporates and leaves behind graphite.

Amsoil spray grease.  Not sure if they still offer it but the can I had worked really well.

That's dry chain lube that works like that BTW, wet chain lube is more of a paraffin-like substance.
