What do we think about the 2016 Chevy Cruze?

I just went back and looked at the car fax report again.  One owner car, originally sold in Maine in August of 2017, regular oil changes and service at the Ford dealer and looks like the owner traded it on another Ford in September.   Car went to auction and the local Ford dealer here bought it in early October.  They put it into the CPO program in November including the new tires and 4 wheel brake job.  (All discs on this one which was an upgrade from rear drums.)

So they actually went looking for this one.  Great news for my daughter, as I mentioned she was walking around the lot while hers was in for an oil change and saw the stick.  She’s really excited which makes me happy.  This will be Focus #3 for the kid cars and they’ve been reliable little tanks. Hoping this one continues the trend.  Edited to add pic of proud new owner .   Thanks again for all the input, we really appreciate it .

I’ve been very interested in that engine in the Fiesta. Didn’t realize it could be had in the Focus.

Curious what the MPGs will be in the Focus...

As far as I've been able to tell, if you want a 1.0/auto you have to get a Focus.  Fiestas were manual only, or at least, I've never seen a 1.0/auto Fiesta for sale.  Focus could be either way.

It's a neat engine, and with the automatic, feels almost exactly like the 2.0 naturally aspirated engine.  Not an earth shattering performance beast but it is perfectly adequate without leaving you wanting all the time.  I bet the Fiesta is a neat ride with that motor, like a 75% FiST.

It’s got a bit of a growl under hard acceleration which is pretty cool, the clutch is super light and the shift feel of the transmission is excellent.   It revs willingly and pulls all the way to redline.  Not much low end torque but then again, 61 cubic inches.  

EPA ratings are high 20’s city and I believe 40 highway.  I’m just thrilled she was able to find a nearly new car with a stick / warranty and for a fair price.  She’s super stoked, I haven’t seen her this excited about anything in quite a while so Dad is very happy.
