What does everyone daily drive?

Summertime:

• 1997 Subaru Impreza Wagon - Version III STi Swap/Clone

Winter/Sometimes Summer:

• 2014 Lexus CT200h F sport

When it needs to go to the shop and Mrs. Aspen will allow:

2002 996

DD duty during the week is the 2005 Chevy Colorado. This one. It's rolling up on 210k rather quickly. Still an outstanding truck. 

Weekends is the 2000 Jeep Cherokee. This might be my favorite vehicle ever. 

2002 F250 7.3 Powerstroke with a manual transmission, just like God intended.

1995 Dodge Viper

My 240whp supercharged Miata is my DD 3/4s of the year.

2015 Outback with some skid plates and a 2" lift.  Very comfortable on the highway at interstate speeds. 

And very versatile.  If the wife wants 30 bags of mulch, no problem.  (10 bags have already been removed in pic)

Plus I can go out and have fun when I want to.

I daily the train and some mediocre Chevrolegs on the weekdays. Why? Because I'm not into traffic or paying to park downtown. 

My daily driver for the last 3 years and 30k miles:

Just drove it up to CT for the Greenwich Concours and back as well as a fun drive around southern CT on Saturday afternoon. I take it everywhere.

2015 FR-S

Summer:

1999 M3 in 318ti clothing. It's was my dream car and I found it already built. I love it so much. The Vaders suck otherwise it's exactly what I want. My hot hatch is RWD! Sadly my "me" is slower than a modern minivan, but such is the GRM way.

Winter:

1996 2dr, 4x4, 5spd, 4.0 Cherokee. I needed a winter driver for Tahoe and it's always been my favorite [practical] Jeep. It fits everything I need to drive across country, comfy, 22mpg highway and goes decent in the snow although I'd like an LSD. 

Every now and again I also pull the lemons car into DD duty. 1979 300SD interplanetary delivery ship. It's surprisingly comfortable because the sparco sprint fits me like a glove. I also love that it gets 27mpg with a 22 gallon tank. 

I daily a 2018 Hyundai Sonata.  It is actually my issued police vehicle, who would have thought...

My wife drives either a 2007 4 door wrangler 6-speed or a 2010 armada platinum 4x4.

I split the non work driving between a 98 m3 sedan or a 1967 c10.

04 CTSV daily unless it’s really snowy - this one is nicer and mine will resemble shortly

Its fun above 6/10s but then it drinks gas like it’s being paid to and below 6/10s it’s kinda clunky and stiff and makes all sorts of weird noises. I think it needs endlinks and the belt tensioner rattles for reasons I can’t explain. I’m mostly bored with it but it’s low miles and in good shape and I won’t be able to find another one if I sell it.

Or it’s my 05 FZ6. Tons of fun and lane splitting is a game changer  

Or it’s a bicycle. But I’ve been bored with that lately since I found mountain biking. 

Wife has an 18 Crosstrek. It’s smooth and quiet and very comfortable. I’m kinda jealous but she deserves it and her old Focus was past it’s prime.

I have put 18k miles on it since August.

One of the people we rallycross with runs a Crosstrek.  He has Jeep decals on it.  Not the vehicle, the Popeye character.

He likes to see who "gets" it. 

2009 WRX with 160k on the clock and several annoying little problems. Frankly, I'm getting pretty tired of it even though it literally checks most of the boxes for what I want in a commuting car.....fast, great-handling, good stereo, excellent seats, AWD, and great visibility all around (no real blind spots).

My daily, 2017 FoST. Fun, practical, and affordable. I'm reaching the age where I wanted a daily that I could just drive and not worry about.

That's exactly why I got teh R, although I was willing to sacrifice some fuel economy for a much lower monthly payment.

My favorite thing to do is to make a right turn at a red light.  I can accelerate hard enough to jump into a tiny gap in cross traffic and be caught up to the car now in front of me before the car now behind me has crossed the intersection.  Accelerating hard while turning like this, it does not understeer, it does not oversteer, it is simply point-and-OMG.  Makes me giggle every time.

If the FoRS is better than this, I want one in the worst way.  But for now, this'll do.

9/12ths of the year I drive a '97 4Runner. Comfy, hauls everything and then some, ice cold a/c. 

Once it cools off I drive my B2200 regularly. It's fun and gets some waves from mostly old dudes lol.

Both are reliable as dirt. 

2002 Dodge Neon R/T with a manual transmission. Bought because the previous DD (the 2014 Mazda 6 Touring w/manual transmission in the background) was large, comfortable, got 35 mpg without even trying, was painted in Soul Red, but was $11,000 in debt that we didn't need at the time. Paid for the Neon and the needed repairs with the equity that we had in the Mazda.

The Neon is... sufficient. It gets 25-28 mpg, fits all 6'2" of me (as long as I keep my hair cut short), has working heat and A/C, and reliably gets me to and from work. The body is rapidly rusting away, but should last me the 20 more months I need to save a 100% down payment for it's replacement.

Mrs, ShawneeCreek has a 2014 Ford Focus with a manual transmission. Reliable, comfortable, modern, safe, painted in that beautiful blue they offered, and hatchback utility. Most of all, it doesn't have the troublesome automatic that most of them are cursed with.

15 Mustang GT. All day every day.  Seemed like the best performance bang for the buck when I purchased it. 

Still fun to go fast but I’m getting tired of driving a big car on the road. I’d rather be driving a Miata right now since my wife daily drives a CRV and that can handle all other tasks that I need.

iirc that should be Crystal Blue Metallic that is what my fiesta was and iirc its the same color
