SO, I cut the required amount off my 32 gallon gastank. gonna start welding it back together today.

I want to go over the exterior weld seam with some good epoxy.

AFAIK, epoxy does not have very good resistance to gasoline. There are some useful adhesive and sealer selector guides online.

use Casswells Dragon Blood sealer on the inside

JB Water Weld - fuel resistant, long lasting, worked on leaky seams on a corolla fuel tank for the last 4 years I owned it, and was still holding strong when I sold it.

IIRC, Andy Nelson used Seal-All to seal up the custom fuel tank for the Fiat, and it seemed to hold up just fine.

the tank is in great shape. I don't want to put a liner in it. I just make sure my welds don't seep.
