A buddy of mine was digging through older pictures yesterday and found this. We've been trying to figure out what the heck it is! It looks Nissan-ish, but also has a late 80's Citroen kind of look. Hell, it could probably be a Giugiaro car for all I know. Does anybody know?

Looks kind of like a Mazda Capella (aka 626), but I'm not convinced that's what it is.

Isn't it a Toyota Cressida? Grille and wheels look about right.
Yeah, looks like a Cressida Wagon

Almost looks like an Accord wagon but I'm sure I'm wrong.
reminds me a lot of the Camry Station wagon.

At glance, it seems to have a lot of Renault in it, but the grill badge looks like it might say Isuzu.
Is your friend from Canada?
I'm not convinced we have a winner yet - look at the lower grill and foglights. My wild-ass guess was Isuzu as well, but I can't find anything to support that.
thats still not a corolla^

I agree that it looks like a Giugiaro design. The aero styling indicates that it is newer than 1983 (influenced by the Audi 5000). I'd guess very late 80's.
The headlights are not U.S., so it's either a European or Japanese domestic market car (or maybe Aussie?). But the front plate doesn't look like it's the proper size for a Euro plate of that era.
My first though Nissan Stagea (those are the wagons that get GT-R front end swaps), but it doesn't look quite right.
The headlights/grill look very Silvia.
The motor looks transverse, so whatever it is it's not RWD.

Agreed, it looks like an Impulse wagon, but AFAIK those never existed.
I want to post a pic of a Nissan Stagea, but can't find one from the right model year(s).
Here's a '96, but I suspect the one in the OP is at least 8 years older.
I think the first answer was correct. Look at the lights, they look EXACTLY the same. Same thing with the mirrors and lines of the car. The only slight difference I see is the grille looks a tiny bit different, and the park lights in the bumper. It's probably just a slight year to year change.
That is in fact a GD-body 626 wagon. Was not sold in the US.

HELLA HAWT! Wow--that car really works for me. However, if that's a static drop, I wouldn't want to live with it. I'll take it on bags, though.

Sneaking up on it. So far, I can only find the rear view. '88-'91.
I think it's that 626 wagon. Comparing the two pictures (original and rear-view) the mirror shape is the same, and the window lines are the same as well.
