Like the topic says, what happened to the Motorsports Expo Show that was held in conjunction with the SCCA national convention the past couple of years?

SCCA has moved their annual convention to Las Vegas for 2016. I think it was murky and unclear as to the relationship status between SCCA and MSX. And while Charlotte is definitely a hub of motorsports industry in the US, it's not a great convention city.

Yep, we're told that the MSX show is no more.

That's a bummer. Thanks for the replies guys.

I guess it's just PRI again.

Based on attendance I witnessed at MSX I am not surprised it got canned. Last year SWMBO and I made the trek down on Sat for the show and it was like a ghost town. It's a shame it could have been something great with a little more time I think.

I was told we (SCCA) were going to focus more on local region stuff this year, as part of the reason behind dropping it.

The MSX seems to be primarily marketed as an alternative to the convention with very little time to take in the expo if you were attending the convention. I think to have made the MSX more of an evening and sunday event would have given more people more time to do both.

Both years, I was unable to attend, but it's not like 1 more person would have made a difference.
