90's Buick Roadmaster...with the panoramic roof and the faky wood trim of course.

Sounds like the perfect car is.........
If I had a .6 mile commute I'd probably drive my Chevelle 454 SS with my foot to the floor the whole way....fun stuff.
I would also recommend a dually like Bravenrace's with dual quads and a blower. I was in my 85 911 and got smoked up to 130 (when we let off) by a supercharged full size chevy truck with a big block and nitrous. I will never forget it. It took me the rest of the ride home to pick my jaw up off the floorboard! That was a hell of a truck!

big time miles if you want it for 10k
Vista Cruiser! I've wanted one of these forever. Tried to talk my wife into one after we had twins, but no, she had to have a minivan. She now admits that the VC would have been the way to go. They're old enough to be cool and easy to work on, and new enough to have most of the amenities that we have now.
Saw an espada driving through town the other day. Really crappy mileage. A maserati quattroporte would hit your budget goal and aluminum quad cam v8 goodness - and think of the locost once the body rots off it.

I got my 06 magnum for less than $5k. Good luck with that, but you can normally get em for under 10k for a high miles one or a nice one with the small engine.. but it might be hard to get a hemi for that and the smaller engines like mine are just not entertaining. Plus mine gets 22-26mpg which ruins your fun, i guess.
