Below the Lift Support but above the tail lamp assembly there is what appears to be a black square that I would call a rubber bump stop. It is plastic and rubber, held on with one bolt. Mine is missing the rubber and I think it is the source of some hatch rattle. I'd like to buy one but really not sure what to call it or search for.
2006 Pontiac Vibe right side (passenger side) needed.

Not sure but pull a part Cleveland has a couple vibes
In reply to Patrick :
I wish I had a quality self serve JY near me. In the "time is money" equation it might be easier to just buy on and have it arrive in 2 days.

Completely agree, I haven’t been to a junkyard in 2 years

This thing?
Rubber bit.
GRM brings the answer in 6 minutes! Thanks
Edit: Maybe. The ebay part looks to be the portion that attaches to the hatch. I need the part that attaches to the body. It is show as PN 67293 in the diagram. Heading off to find more...
Googling lift gate wedge gives me the GM parts diagrams.
Lift Gate Wedge
I have a very narrow skill set.
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
I think the lift gate wedge is attached to the lift gate. I need the complimenting piece that remains attached to the body.
Only on GRM would someone ask for help with a wedgie!
Can't stump me, that's a dog.

I am running by the local pick apart tomorrow for ironically a part off of a 1st gen vibe. They have two 06 vibes. I will snag one for you.
Do you need anything else?
In reply to pimpm3 :
Any chance you could check to see if one is a GT? I need some parts specific to it, no one stocks them or pulls them before it's recycled.
That's a weird part to lose John. It doesn't show up in any of the IPBs for the Matrix or the Vibe.

I can look there are 6 total vibes in the yard. Www.acepickapart.com
What are you looking for?
I need the passenger side rear backing plate and brake shoes.
Probably the bearing too because it's usually welded to the plate.
They're stupid expensive ($200+) and there's no 3rd party manufacture. Last time I called a yard they laughed and said they didn't pull those.
Irritatingly they're unique to the 03-08 Vibe GT, Matrix XRS, Corolla XRS, and Celica GT-S (all had rear disc) so they don't turn up in the pick a part yards real often.

I will check. The pictures on the website are unclear as to the specific sub model.
In reply to The0retical :
I checked the JY Inventory website http://www.acepickapart.com/inventory.html?make=PONTIAC&model=VIBE All the Vibes and Matrix listed are listed as having an auto trans. I think the Gen1 Vibe GT only offered a manual trans. Ergo...not likely to have a GT part.
All the Corollas are auto trans as is the one Celica too.
In reply to Dr. Hess :
Good job Doc! However, $4 part and $11+ for shipping. $15+
Jeremy, please see if the JY has it cheaper, especially if they have am interior rear view mirror also. Ace's price list shows non-electric interior rear view mirror as $3.99. The Toyota parts list showed $124.43 !!!
$3.03 over here: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~cushion~back~door~lower~stopper~67293-02021.html
And here's a hint: Go to your local Toyota dealer and they'll charge you the four or five bucks and you probably won't have to pay any shipping, as they'll just get it in their next warehouse shipment.

I snagged the mirror and two rubber bits with screws. I will ship them out tomorrow.
The five vibes in the yard were base automatics with drums.
