Waiting patiently for a mid-engine, V8-swapped, Conestoga build thread...

It seems to be pretty obvious that wagons are the popular choice. I just got off the phone with him and we decided to go with the flow...
so with out further ado i would like to make it official, 2018 will be the year of the wagon...
Set your Craigslist searches to "Wagon"!

^ what he asked. Are we following the same idea as the pickup class? If it looks like a wagon its a wagon?

I still recommend that two rows of seating (independent of doors) = wagon; and one row of seating with vertical hatch = shootingbrake
ala "Aristocrats" and "Esquires" in $2015
Maybe "Full Monty" vs. "Half Monty" or something catchier?
Now that wagons are the official sub class, I wonder how many Miatas will show up with mini truck toppers grafted on. To that end, will there be a stricter interpretation of what constitutes a wagon versus a hatchback? For example... hatchback or wagon:
Or

That is a wagon to me. Didn’t the rear hatch door open up fully unlike most others? That to me makes it a wagon. You can open the hatch door fully from roof to bumper, whether one pc or two.
I have my ideas just need to find them.
Oops... I amended my post after your reply to also include an ef Civic, which has essentially the same design and profile, but I think most would agree isn't a wagon. It's a conundrum for me.
that civic hatch (and most "hatches" hatches) won't hold a full size spare in the cargo area with the rear seat up, right?
edit: thinking about this more... wheelbase might be the stricter splitline between hatch and wagon
Should have read the whole thing.
As much as I like wagons, cant justify a whole new platform. Unless a miata shooting brake would count, as i already have miata plans...
4 doors and started life as a wagon if my vote counts. I don’t want to build a cool wagon just to lose to a Miata wagon.
It's like the pickup truck class, you know a wagon when you see one.
However, I am open to all creative interpretations, and I tend toward including anyone who wants to be included. Make an argument as to why your wagon is a wagon, and I'll probably be on board.
Hatchbacks are not wagon's. An EF civic hatch doesn't fit the intent of the class.
Now a wagon EF on the other hand... Wagon attack!

But is a cherokee a wagon?
On that same thought is a PT cruiser a wagon?
