From talking with a friend who does this stuff with the wrong kind of cars, a K24's service interval is 22 hours of road racing. Which is a problem when you are in a 25 hour race, but fortunately the rest of the car has enough issues that you probably won't be racing 22 of 25 hours.

Well, if that 400hp Miata motor is bolted to a Miata trans, I have to imagine its lifespan is < 100 hours of track time.

Interestingly, the diff gave out first on that particular car. But yeah, the driveline is on borrowed time in the turbo car. LS car couldn't break the trans if it wanted to.

Exactly,pretty close to dead nuts reliable 9th gen si endurance racer into its 3rd season so also closing in on 200hrs of actually race time.

The 1200 head will not fit.
There are several differences; most notably the Datsun uses 10 head bolts versus the BMC 9 bolts.
